Mennonite College of Nursing faculty, staff, and alumni gathered to show their support for healthcare workers during the “Light Up the Night” event on Thursday, November 4, during the evening shift change at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Normal and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
“We have the deepest appreciation for all of our health care workers,” says Joanna Willett, Nursing Simulation Lab Director. “As you can imagine, this has been an especially difficult year for those in the field, and it is important to us to show our support and thanks. Their dedication is truly extraordinary.”
“It is crucial that we continue to show our support to nurses, even as we try to return to some level of normalcy because nursing care continues to be challenging for those on the frontline,” said Dean Judy Neubrander.
The group assembled near the main entrance to each facility from 6:30-7:30 pm. For more pictures and video, visit MCN’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ISUNursing.
