Illinois State alumni, family, and friends are invited to cool off at Illinois’ largest waterpark this summer for our sixth annual Alumni Day at Raging Waves!
Raging Waves Waterpark is known for its water slides including the famous Wonambi, the quarter-mile-long lazy river Kookaburra Kreek, Great Barrier Reef Wave Pool, and Kangaroo Falls. Raging Waves has something for our future Redbirds too, Quokka-Nut Island and Koala Kove, interactive kiddie areas complete with minimal depth pools and tiny slides.
We’re also including a Redbird favorite to remind you of the good ole college days with a special delivery of Avanti’s Gondola sandwiches straight from Normal!
When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, July 23
Where: Raging Waves Waterpark, 4000 North Bridge Street, Yorkville
The cost per person is $29 and includes entry as well as an Avanti’s gondola lunch. Children 1 and under are admitted for free. Register by 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 18 online or by calling Alumni Engagement at (309) 438-2586. All guests under 12 should be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Proper bathing suit attire is required. Raging Waves is located off Route 47, 45 minutes west of Chicago and an hour and a half from Bloomington-Normal.
