What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?

A coworker made me aware of it and encouraged me to run. He knew I had a passion for civil service and local governance. We also believed that the council could benefit from diverse perspectives.

What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?

I hope to be an advocate for those employed by ISU, especially those who feel minoritized or underrepresented. I hope to foster belonging and offer perspectives that can shape more equitable relations. I also hope to meet likeminded individuals.

Favorite Redbird event or pastime?

I like volunteering for Welcome Week. It’s really energizing to see new students. The event helps with creating an inviting atmosphere and I get a chance to join in on the fun.
