Homecoming 2023 will be here soon (October 9-15), and Illinois State’s campus is starting to plan for the festivities.
Faculty and staff have several opportunities to get involved and share in this year’s theme, Redbirds Reign, as campus shows how they are strong, stable, and full of Redbird pride. There’s no need to wait. Get involved and get in the Homecoming spirit with the programs below:
Campus decorating contest
Campus offices and departments can register through October 3 to promote Redbird pride and show off Homecoming spirit! Entrants will be judged on their use of the 2023 Homecoming theme, school spirit, Illinois State University’s name and/or images, and the impact of the decorations throughout the week. Judging will be Friday, October 6.
Homecoming parade
Departments or offices wishing to participate in the Homecoming parade Saturday, October 14, can submit registrations online until October 2. Involvement in the parade can be an excellent teambuilding activity for staff and faculty designing floats together and encourages community involvement.
Homecoming graphics/apparel
Add a little Homecoming spirit to computers and social media with Zoom and desktop backgrounds, Facebook cover photos, Twitter cover photos, and email signatures. Homecoming shirts will also be available in both Redbird Spirit Shops this fall.
