Illinois State University claimed its fourth consecutive Missouri Valley Conference All-Sports Championship at the conclusion of the 2022-23 campaign. The distinction is based on a school’s average finish in each of the sponsored league championships.
Appears InBuoyed by MVC titles in five sports—men’s golf, women’s tennis, women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, and women’s basketball—the Redbirds also benefitted from top three conference finishes in men’s indoor and outdoor track and field, women’s swimming and diving, and softball.
“It’s our goal to win the MVC All-Sports Trophy every year, but the same could be said for every school in the Valley,” Illinois State Interim Director of Athletics Dr. Jeri Beggs said. “To win it for the fourth year in a row is a tremendous accomplishment by our student-athletes, coaches, and the entire Athletics staff.”
