Illinois State University and the Civil Service Council are partnering for the ninth time with Toys for Tots of McLean County. The annual holiday effort helps provide new toys to over 4,000 underprivileged children in Bloomington-Normal and greater McLean County.
This year’s theme is “Let’s be Santa.” New and unwrapped toys, for children ages from newborn to 12 years old, can now be dropped off at any of the following campus locations:
- Alumni Center
- Hovey Hall (first floor)
- DeGarmo Hall (third floor)
- Facilities Management
- Milner Library (break room)
- Moulton Hall (Office of the Registrar)
- Nelson Smith Building
- Office of Residential Life
- Uptown Crossing
Donations will be accepted through Monday, December 18.
Toys for Tots is a nonprofit organization run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve founded in 1947. Toys for Tots of McLean County, initially affiliated with the “Charlie Company” Marine Reserve Unit in Peoria, has operated as a Marine Toys for Tots Foundation since 2000.
