How long have you been an employee at ISU? I have been with the University since April 2017.
What do you love most about working at ISU? I love the people and the sense of community at ISU. We all bring so many different qualities and attributes to campus, but the one thing that pulls us together is that we are all Redbirds.
What is one fact about yourself that might surprise people? I love sports, especially volleyball. I played collegiately for four years and currently hold the record for most kills and service aces.
When you’re not working, what are you most likely doing? Spending time with my family … or shopping!
What is your favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus is the Bone Student Center. I love seeing the hustle and bustle every day. The students bring so much energy to this space that I genuinely believe it is the “living room” on campus.
What quote most inspires you? Why? I have two favorite quotes that are in my office that inspire me daily:
They whispered to her: you cannot withstand the storm. She whispered back: I am the storm. Never give up! Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. We can overcome anything if we set our minds to it. Confidence and determination can go a long way.
Today is a good day to start making a difference. Whether we realize it or not, we all have the ability to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives. A smile or simple gesture can go a long way and could make a difference in someone’s day.
