Scott received his BSN degree from the Mennonite College of Nursing in 2017.

He was inducted into the college’s Xi Pi Chapter of Sigma International Honor Society of Nursing during his time at Illinois State University. He also made a significant impact working as a “labbie” in the simulation lab and participated in a fundraising project to purchase IV pumps. During his senior year, he seized the opportunity to do a ride-along with an air ambulance. The experience sparked his desire to become a flight nurse.

He pursued that passion after working for four years as an emergency room nurse and transitioned to the emergency department’s clinical educator for two years before taking on a new role as a member of a medevac flight team.

Scott provides critical care medical transport services to patients from both out-of-hospital scene-response flights as well as on hospital-to-hospital transfers, often from rural areas to a definitive care center.

Beyond his degree, Scott has gained credentials as a trauma nurse specialist, a trauma certified registered nurse, a certified emergency nurse, and a certified flight registered nurse. He is exemplary in his dedication to the nursing field and makes a difference in the lives of patients outside of the traditional hospital setting.
