Students who are accepted for an internship or are current interns at Milner Library are eligible to apply for the Kinzinger Scholarship for Milner Library Interns. Interested students should submit their application by July 15. More information and criteria can be found on Milner’s website.

Milner Library also offers a limited number of internships each semester for course credit. Students should speak to the internship advisor in the department for which they’d like to receive credit for the internship, and then fill out the internship interest form to be placed with an internship supervisor at Milner. Once a position is confirmed at Milner, students will then register for a course and appropriate credit hours with their departmental internship advisor. Internships for course credit have no formal deadline, but should be established with both Milner and the student’s academic internship advisor in time for the start of fall semester classes. Internships at the Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives are on hiatus during the fall 2024 semester and will reopen in spring 2025.

Any questions about internships or student employment at Milner Library can be directed to Milner Director of Marketing and Communications Michelle Neuffer at mgneuff@IllinoisState.edu.
