The Illinois State University Half Century Club honors all alumni whose classes graduated 50 or more years ago. Join us at Homecoming 2024: Relive the Moments, September 27-28, for our Half Century Club Reunion, as we induct the class of 1974 and enjoy a weekend full of reminiscing, reconnecting, and Redbird pride.

This special reunion is a chance to reconnect with your alma mater and celebrate all the successes Illinois State University has experienced. This is a chance to see how Illinois State has evolved and hear from President Aondover Tarhule. It will be a weekend not to miss.

September 27-28 events are open to all classes from 1974 and prior.

Friday begins at 11 a.m. with a view of the new Mennonite Nursing Simulation Center and its state-of-the-art technology. From there, attendees will learn how Ilinois State integrates sustainability into campus culture with a tour of the Office of Sustainability and then have a chance to tour the historic Quad. This is a great chance to see all that has changed on campus.

Friday evening is highlighted by the Half Century Club dinner at the Bone Student Center. Enjoy a reception, a special dinner, University updates from President Aondover Tarhule, and remarks from keynote speakers and class of 1974 member Mike Matejka. The highlight of the evening will be the induction of the class of 1974 into the Half Century Club and the honoring of the landmark classes (1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, and 1969).

Saturday begins with the Half Century Club Academy at the Bone Student Center with a program featuring Milner Library’s Head of Government Documents Angela Bonnell. Following breakfast, guests can view the Homecoming parade, visit the Redbird Village, and watch the Redbirds take on North Dakota State.

Registration is open until September 13. Learn more details for events, prices, and parking at IllinoisState.edu/HalfCentury or call Alumni Engagement at (309) 438-2586. Hotel blocks can be found through the Homecoming website.
