Relive a run or sights of campus at the Town and Gown Hybrid 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk as a part of Homecoming 2024: Relive the Moments. The in-person race will take off at the Student Fitness Center on Saturday, September 28, at 8 a.m. and go through Uptown Normal and around campus. One water stop will be set on the course, and refreshments will be available afterward for all run/walk participants. Check out the course, map out your own as a participant in the virtual race, and get a little extra training help from our “couch to 5K” training schedule.
This year’s registration cost is $20 for all ages and races. Five dollars of each registration will support the Marian H. Dean Scholarship. Online registration is available until 4:30 p.m. September 26. Once online registration closes, participants may register in person at the Alumni Center. Register early as shirt sizes are first-come, first-served in order of registrations received.
Virtual runners will receive a confirmation email in the following weeks after registering, including a bib to print, further instructions, and a link to submit race time. Shirts will be mailed. All participants are encouraged to run on September 28 sporting their Redbird gear, but you can finish anytime before that date. Use #RedbirdHomecoming to be included in our Homecoming photos montage.
