Are you interested in giving back your time and talent to your alma mater? If so, consider assisting Career Services with one of the department’s upcoming fall programs.
Each semester, Career Services hosts a variety of programs to educate Redbirds on career-related topics. As part of many programs, alumni are invited to share about their career journey and advice for students in their career development.
“Interacting with alumni helps students realize that their dreams can become a reality and provides a clear picture of what their future could become,” said Career Services Program Coordinator Rachel Janicki. “When students attend a program with alumni, they know that they will share some personal connection with the presenter or panelists, like sharing a major, student organization membership, etc. That connection can help students to further internalize and apply the skills and strategies they share.”
Interested alumni may share their experiences with their career path, job search, or general career advice. Check out the complete list of Career Services’ upcoming events. If you are interested in giving back to your fellow Redbirds by serving as a guest either virtually or in person, contact Career Services.
Career Services’ mission is to empower and support Redbirds to achieve their professional goals by providing resources, experiences, and industry connections. Consider assisting Redbirds with their career goals by sharing about your career experiences.
