October is Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIMOC) month, and what better way to celebrate than with a Movement Challenge to see which campus can log the most miles or time spent in physical activity in a single day.
As part of the Movement Challenge, the School of Kinesiology and Recreation (KNR) and EIMOC will host an in-person 1-mile walk/wheel around the quad. Join KNR and EIMOC for some physical activity and fun giveaways.
When: October 30, 2024, 2 p.m.
Where: North Quad by the flagpole, weather permitting
Log miles/activity by midnight or use QR codes located on the Quad
You can participate whether you walk, roll, or engage in any other form of physical activity. Track your distance (miles walked or rolled) or the time spent being active on October 30. Your phone, activity watch, or wheelchair tracker can help you record these. For walking, 2,000 steps=1 mile.
