The Division of Student Affairs is now accepting new nominations for the 2025 Club Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Illinois State University Club Hockey Hall of Fame began in 2018 and has been a revered tradition for Club Hockey to honor former players, coaches, and patrons. ISU Club Hockey was formed in 1969 and therefore started the hockey team at the University. The Hall of Fame event will take place on October 25, 2025, in the Bone Student Center.

Induction into the Club Hockey Hall of Fame considers a candidate’s outstanding service and overall contribution to the ISU Hockey Club in determining a candidate’s eligibility for induction into the Hall of Fame. Without limiting the above, the committee may consider the following:

  • A candidate’s individual record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, and character.
  • The number of games played, coached, or the years of service provided shall only be a consideration and shall not be determinative in assessing a candidate’s eligibility.
  • A player, team, coach/ staff member, or patron involved with the ISU Hockey Club may be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame.
  • Candidates shall be evaluated based on their overall contribution to the club as opposed to one specific aspect.

To be eligible, nominees must of good character and reputation. Community involvement at Illinois State and following graduation may be considered. A player may only be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame if that player has retired from playing for the Club for a minimum of five years.

Nominations are being accepted through June 30, 2025. Fill out the Hall of Fame form to nominate your candidate.
