Homecoming 2006, with its “Spread the Red” theme, will take place Oct. 9-15. Alumni can take advantage of ordering Homecoming luncheon, tent and football tickets and merchandise by clicking on Homecoming Registration.
Some new features of Homecoming 2006 include:
- Dream Dorm Do-Over – A contest for current residence hall students to have a dorm room makeover.
- Homecoming InfoCentre – This year, information about homecoming will move to the center concourse of Bone Student Center. Visit the new InfoCentre to get tickets, T-shirts, schedules, maps and souvenirs along with the new Redbird Walk card.
- Redbird Walk – a card entitling you to discounts and specials at a variety of locations in downtown Normal, which is experiencing some exciting changes. Check out all that is new, and visit your favorite collegiate spots. The Redbird Walk card is available exclusively to Illinois State alumni when registering at the Homecoming InfoCentre.
- Hoopfest – members of the 2006-07 men’s and women’s Redbird basketball teams will be introduced and a slam-dunk contest, 3-point shooting contest and scrimmage will be included in the evening event.
- Alumni Tailgate Tent – the place for alumni and friends to meet before the game with free snacks and a cash bar. Tickets are limited for the tent and must be ordered in advance.
