At the Table is a series of virtual dinners and facilitated conversations that aim to build community and embrace vulnerability during these difficult times. The series is co-facilitated by MFA students Aca Carle, Japheth Asiedu-Kwarteng, Peytin Fitzgerald, Priscilla Lo, and Assistant Professor of Nonwestern/Global Art History Kantara Souffrant. These virtual dinners and discussions gather individuals across Illinois State University and the Bloomington-Normal community to dine and discuss the evening’s chosen topic. Previous topics in the series have included “Isolation” and “Appropriation, Adaptation, and Allyship.”
Each meal and conversation topic are different, but the goal is to host a communal space that welcomes conversations across differences.
At the Table is sponsored by the Wonsook Kim School of Art, University Galleries, Green Top Grocery, and Bloomington Hy-Vee.
For more information about registering for the Nov. 6 event, contact the Wonsook Kim School of Art.
