Illinois State University Senior Photographer Lyndsie Schlink ’04 took home two awards June 25 from the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) during its digital awards banquet.
Schlink’s work was recognized in the UPAA’s annual publications competition for best use of photography:
- Second place for the Parent and Family Services’ Parent and Family Guide.
- Third place for the Office of Admissions’ Viewbook publication
This year’s awards bring Schlink’s UPAA awards total to 19 since she joined University Marketing and Communications as the University’s photographer in 2007.
Schlink was also elected to UPAA’s board of directors. She will serve a four-year term starting January 1, 2022. The board of directors volunteer their time to lead the organization and to provide the best possible resources to the membership.
The UPAA is an international organization of college and university photographers concerned with the application and practice of photography as it relates to the higher education setting. The awards banquet was held at the conclusion of this year’s weeklong digital symposium hosted by the UPAA board of directors.
