Illinois State University’s Center for Math, Science and Technology and the ISU Office of Sustainability invite campus and community members to The Green Screen: A Climate Change Film Series. Films feature a different topic each month, with a focus on the global climate change crisis.

Each film will be screened at 7 p.m. at the Normal Theater. All screenings are free and open to the community.

January 25, 2022 – Before the Flood

Photographer James Balog deploys cameras to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers and compress years into seconds. The film captures ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.

April 19, 2022 – 2040

Practical solutions to environmental concerns are addressed with the hope that the filmmaker’s daughter, 21 years old in the year 2040, will face a hopeful future.
