Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN) at Illinois State University will host the 2nd Annual Symposium on Ambulatory Care on Friday, June 10, at the Alumni Center from 8:30 am–4 pm. Registration is open now.

The symposium will include experts presenting on key topics such as health equity and self-care. The schedule includes an opening keynote by Amaal Tokars, Ed. D., assistant director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, entitled “Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health in Illinois,” a closing keynote on self-care by Robyn Gobin, Ph.D., and author of The Self-Care Prescription, and other informative lectures. The symposium offers 6.25 in continuing education credits for professionals in related fields.

“These topics are of essential importance in today’s world,” explains Michelle Woodburn, Change Agents for the Underserved: Service Education (CAUSE) Project Coordinator. “We are excited to be able to offer this symposium to the community.”
