The School of Information Technology has established the Cris Embree Service Scholarship in honor of Cris Embree’s retirement and her 20 years of service to Illinois State University.
Embree retired from her position as administrative aide in the School of Information Technology in April of 2022. Dr. Traci Carte, director of the School of Information Technology, says, “We are so excited to see this scholarship created. Embree’s impact on the School of IT has been incredible. She truly presented servant leadership during her time in the school. This service-focused scholarship is a perfect way to commemorate her retirement.”
In honor of Embree’s long-time exemplary service to the School of Information Technology, this scholarship has been established in her name. The scholarship is funded by donations made in Embree’s honor and supports incoming or current School of IT students who have provided service to the University community or community at large and demonstrate financial need.
Donations to support the Cris Embree Service Scholarship may be made at GIVING.
Scholarship applications may be submitted at SCHOLARSHIPS.
