The public is invited to a provide input to assist in the re-accreditation of the Illinois State University Police Department (ISUPD). A call-in forum will be from 1-2 p.m. on April 10. Members of the public will be able to call and share experiences with the ISUPD.
ISUPD was first accredited in 2019 by the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP). Part of the evaluation process for re-accreditation includes gathering public input on experiences. The public can call (309) 438-3281 on April 10 or send an email message to ILEAP@IllinoisState.edu.
The re-accreditation process through ILEAP will also include conducting inspections, reviewing files, meeting with University leaders, accompanying ISUPD on their regular patrols, and developing an on-site report.
