Illinois State University’s Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) will partner with Macy’s in Bloomington for the eighth annual Shop For A Cause, a national shopping event for charity.
Shopping passes are available now for the event on Saturday, August 24, which will benefit CeMaST’s Family Science Day.
Family Science Day is a public outreach event designed to educate and inspire students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The primary goal of CeMaST is to pursue and support projects and activities that seek to improve the teaching and learning of STEM subjects within the University, the community and beyond.
All proceeds from the one-day Shop For A Cause will be used to support Family Science Day 2014. Other participating organizations in Shop For A Cause include the American Heart Association, Family Community Resource Center and YWCA McLean County.
The public can purchase shopping passes at CeMaST now by contacting Sara McCubbins at samccub@ilstu.edu or (309) 438-3089.
