The Professional Sales Institute at Illinois State has been named among the “2013 Top Universities for Professional Sales Education” by the Sales Education Foundation (SEF).
“The 2013 Sales Education Annual lists the top universities for professional sales education,” stated Sally C. Stevens, SEF’s executive director. “Congratulations to the universities making their debut on this year’s list, as well as those who have continued to build on a longstanding commitment to elevate the sales profession.”
Listed programs require a minimum of three sales-specific courses, the offering of sales internships, and university recognition for individuals upon program completion. These schools provided SEF with the details of their programs and student offerings. Additionally, these university programs offer a large variety of choices for undergraduate, graduate, executive training programs, sales specialties, competitions, and internships.
“Companies come from across the country and find that sales students are often more retainable and, of course, more productive sooner than general college grads,” said Mike Boehm, director of the Professional Sales Institute at Illinois State. “Recruiters comment on the preparation the students have had. They have done their homework with prep facts and questions about individual companies.”
