Want to further your data skills? Illinois State University is a member of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) consortium which “provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and methods of analysis for the social science research community.” The ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods provides rigorous, comprehensible training in statistics, quantitative and qualitative methods, and data analysis. There are sessions from June 10 through July 5 and July 8 through August 2, as well as topical workshops from May through August.
ICPSR also offers more than $150,000 in student scholarships each year for its summer program. The goal is “to remove financial barriers to participation and increase access to statistical methods training for students of all different backgrounds.”
