Beyond commencement, the Homecoming parade is Illinois State’s longest standing tradition. Each fall, thousands of Redbirds return to Normal to reconnect with campus and friends.
Parade watchers have seen some big names come through town on Homecoming weekend, including soon-to-be President Ronald Reagan and Redbird hoops icon Doug Collins. The Stanley Cup even made an appearance in 2010.
