The University Program Board is sponsoring a showing of A Place at the Table, a documentary exploring the hunger epidemic in America. The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Old Main Room at the Bone Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
According to the film, 50 million Americans – including one in four children – do not know how they will get their next meal. A Place at the Table tells the powerful stories of three such Americans who work to maintain their dignity even as they struggle just to eat. The film moves to change forever how people think about the hungry, and offers ideas of how the issue could be solved.
