Illinois State fans will have the opportunity to watch the Redbird men’s and women’s basketball teams on Comcast SportsNet Chicago eight times during the 2013–2014 season. The men’s team will have six broadcasts, while the women’s team will have two.
The Illinois State men’s team will be featured on CSN for four nonconference games and two Missouri Valley Conference contests. The first men’s game will air on CSN Chicago PLUS November 8, via a shared feed between Illinois State and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). The Redbird’s home games against Drexel (November 12), Dayton (December 7), and DePaul (December 22) will also air on CSN Chicago. Once the Valley season is underway, the January 18 game at Drake is scheduled to be broadcast on CSN Chicago, while the second Valley game included in the institutional package will be announced at a later date.
Kurt Pegler and Bob Morris will be on the call for all of the men’s games, with the exception of the VCU game.
The women’s team will air two Valley games as part of the TV package. Both women’s productions will be road games, including the January 12 contest at Indiana State and the January 31 game at Loyola in Chicago, with RC McBride and Jill Hutchison serving as the commentators for both games.
In addition to the Illinois State TV package, three Redbird men’s basketball regular-season games and at least two Redbird women’s basketball regular-season contests will air live on the Missouri Valley Conference Television Network.
Men’s and women’s basketball single-game tickets are on sale now at GoRedbirds.com and at the Redbird Arena Ticket Office.
