All the sport enthusiasts need to circle November 19, which is a day to spend with Illinois State Athletics in a competitive marathon of sport.
Beginning at 11 a.m., in Hancock Stadium, the Redbird football team will close out their regular season against preseason Missouri Valley Football Conference favorite Northern Iowa. The last time these two teams met in Normal was the season finale two years ago. The Redbirds upset the Panthers on the game’s final play.
Moving indoors for a 4:05 p.m. tip off, the Redbird men’s basketball team will host Lipscomb in the second of four games of the 2011 Cancun Challenge. The first two games are played in Normal. This will be the first time the men will face the Bison, and the team’s final tune-up before the Redbirds leave for Cancun, Mexico.
To close out the day, the ISU volleyball team will end its regular season with a 7:35 p.m. match against Missouri State.
