Bring It Back to Normal will give students the opportunity to give back to the local community for its continued support of Illinois State from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday, April 5.
Students will serve the residents of Normal by gardening, painting, washing windows, and completing other spring cleaning projects. Lydia Wilson, a junior teacher education major, has participated in Bring It Back to Normal for the past few years. She said the purpose of the event is to help out the community by providing service in whatever ways they need.
“With that, it’s a great time for college students to understand that Normal isn’t just ‘ISU’ and for us to get a greater sense of the community we’re living in,” Wilson said. “It’s meant as much for the college students as it has for the community members we’re helping!”
Online registration will be available in March. This is a great way to support the local community and neighborhood. For more information, contact Leadership and Service at (309) 438-7346.
