Director Janks Morton will be on hand to discuss his documentary Hoodwinked, which will be shown at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.
This event will feature an abridged viewing of the film, followed by discussion lead by the producer and director of Hoodwinked, Janks Morton. The event is part of the Diversity Advocacy movie series, and is free and open to the public.
Hoodwinked is a documentary highlighting the strides and achievements of the African-American community, while debunking media myths that people of African-decent are “less than” others.
The documentary examines the symbiotic relationship between media, government and special interest, looking at the exploitation of data and imagery that can present a skewed perspective of the modern era African-American experience.
