As we wrap up the school year, the Student Council, library, and Book Bike would like to thank you all for your generosity in donating 2,600 books in our book drive this year.
After we completed the book drive, the Normal CornBelters were so impressed with our efforts and our generosity that they are sponsoring a Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib on Tuesday, July 8. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the game begins at 7 p.m.
Each student will be receiving four free bleacher seats to the game for you and your family to use. These vouchers can be redeemed the night of the game. There will be free family activities that night followed by a chance to run the bases after the game. This will be a special night full of fun for the whole Metcalf family.
If you are unable to make the game, the vouchers are still valid for any Tuesday game throughout the summer. Should you have more tickets than you need or will use, drop them off in the office this summer and we will create a supply of extra tickets should your family need them. Your tickets will be arriving with your fourth quarter report cards in early June with another reminder about the game. Be sure to check your envelopes. Let us know if you do not receive tickets.
As another exciting and special part of Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib, we will be represented during the pregame festivities by having one student throw out the first pitch. If your family plans on attending and would like a chance for your son or daughter to throw out the first pitch, please submit the online form by 11:59 p.m. Monday, June 30. You will need to submit the form for each of your children.
