Ways to Incorporate Student Research on the University into Your Course

Utilizing a variety of disciplinary perspectives, this workshop addresses student research projects engaged in campus-based ethnographic research. Addressing issues that can make large-scale research projects cumbersome, we highlight benefits of using the university as the focus for ethnographic and archival research to promote active learning and problem solving as students become creators of knowledge through their own investigations.

Climbing the Pyramid:
Achieving Higher Levels of Learning in Content-Heavy Courses

This workshop tackles some of the difficulties of content-heavy courses through constructivist methodology and application to help shift away from content-centered and to student-centered activities. We will explore strategies and techniques to facilitate the balance of content delivery and active student learning to transform delivery methods and spark student discovery.
