The February issue of Illinois State magazine included an opportunity to win a limited-edition Doug Collins bobblehead. The collectible was created to celebrate the basketball legacy of Collins ’73, who remains the most decorated athlete in ISU history.
He averaged 29.1 points in three seasons as a Redbird. Beyond his status as an Olympian, Collins was an All-American and Academic All-American. He was the first pick in the NBA Draft and an NBA All-Star.
