Assistant Professor of Economics German Blanco will be the speaker at the Conversando entre nosotros: LALS Brown Bag Series at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in Williams Hall, room 313.
Blanco’s talk, Who Benefits from the Information Provided by Job Placement Services: A Two-Sided Analysis will explore the labor market.
Blanco’s fields of specialization are in labor economics, applied econometrics and public Economics. His work on active labor market programs, including job training for youth, has been presented before the Society of Labor Economists and at the Midwest Econometrics Group Conference.
The event, which is free, is sponsored by the Latin American and Latino/a Studies program and Organization of Latino/a Employees.
