Illinois State University’s Jazz Ensembles I and II will perform in concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for faculty/staff and $6 for students and seniors.
The concert will feature a wide variety of music written for the concert big band including works by Sammy Nestico, Wayne Shorter, John LaBarbera, Bobby Shew, George Stone and Joe Henderson.
Illinois State’s Jazz Ensembles are conducted by Tom Marko, director of instrumental jazz in the School of Music.
