Dane Ward, Milner Library, has been appointed to the Illinois State Library Advisory Committee by Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White.
Yoon Jin Ma, FCS, was presented with The Educators for Socially Responsible Apparel Business (ESRAB) Research Award for 2014, for her work Implementation of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act in the Apparel Industry.
Andrew Hartman, HIS, was appointed as an Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecturer for 2015-18.
Performance
Will Daddario, THD, helped plan the performance of Performing Philosophies of Effort/Gongfu at the Performance and Philosophy Working Group during the Performance Studies International in Shanghai, China.

Sandy Colbs, Student Counseling, presented Explorations on Creating a Group Therapy Culture After (Finally) Starting a Group at the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors’ Conference in Chicago.
Crystal K. Williams, GEO, presented Calculating Errors of Interpolation Methods for Bathymetric Surveys: A Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Approach at the Geological Society of America’s Annual Meeting in Vancouver, B.C. She also presented the talk at the Illinois Geographic Information Systems Association’s Annual Conference in Lisle, along with co-presenting Online Atlas of Illinois – Esri’s Thematic Atlas App at the Illinois Geographic Information Systems Association’s Annual Conference. Williams also presented Enlighten Students in AP Human Geography with the Online Illinois Classroom Atlas at the National Council for Geographic Education’s conference in Memphis, Tenn.
