Three School of Information Technology students have been selected to be honored at the Illinois Technology Foundation’s 2011 50 for the Future® Celebration. This program “recognizes exceptional students with an interest in and potential to use technology in innovative ways.” The School of Information Technology students recognized in 2011 are:

    Kyanne Baker, a senior majoring in Information Systems

    Andrew Erickson, a graduate student majoring in Information Systems

    Christopher Murphy, B.S. in Computer Science May 2011, currently employed at Discover Financial and pictured with Glenn Schneider, CIO Discover Financial

The Illinois Technology Foundation (ITF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of the technology talent pipeline in the State of Illinois by creating and coordinating mentorships, internships and networking opportunities. We work closely with industry, academia, and government in order to fulfill our mission.

The Fifty For The Future® Celebration provides encouragement and recognition to students who pursue innovation through technology, providing access to business leaders to showcase their talent. Winners are chosen through a rigorous nomination and judging process, focused on high school through university and graduate level programs.
