The Informal Physics Seminar series will feature Illinois State University Management and Quantitative Methods Distinguished Professor Victor Devinatz. He will present “The Past, Present and Future of the U.S. Trade Union Movement” at noon on Friday, Feb. 26, in 309 Moulton Hall.
Devinatz came to Illinois State in 1991 to teach in the areas of industrial relations and human resource management. He received his bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in sports psychology from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in labor studies from the University of Massachusetts and his Ph.D. in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota. His research focuses include collective bargaining, labor relations, union organizing and U.S. labor history.
