It is with great pleasure that we announce Dr. Elango Balasubramanian as the new Research Director for the College of Business beginning August 16, 2012.
He is Professor of Management and Quantitative Methods and received his Ph.D. from Baruch College, The City University of New York. He will replace Dr. Masoud Hemmasi who is retiring this summer.
Dr. Balasubramanian joined Illinois State University in Fall 1999 and has published 38 refereed journal articles, one book chapter, one case, and has made 40 national/international conference presentations.
His research includes literature reviews, case studies, theoretical and conceptual articles, practitioner articles, experiential exercises, and empirical papers based on primary and secondary data incorporating either longitudinal or cross-sectional analysis.
He notes that he plans to “nurture a culture of excellence in research with professionalism that enhances the research reputation of the College of Business.”
