Global Course Design: Faculty Resources
Wednesday, November 18 • 10–11 a.m.
In this presentation, Maria Schmeeckle and Mayuko Nakamura will introduce attendees to resources for global engagement that are being added to the website for CTLT. Faculty can access information about global course design and learn how to get involved in global programming activities on campus. The new resources have been made possible by the Kenneth A. (Buzz) and Mary Ann Shaw Fellowship in the College of Arts and Sciences, awarded to Schmeeckle in 2014.
Teaching Excellence: Wrapping up the Semester
Thursday, November 19 • 9:30–11 a.m.
Reflect on what you have accomplished in your courses this semester. Discuss strategies that will help students recognize what they have learned, synthesize the information, and consider how their new learning may be applied in the future. The activities discussed in this workshop will help course instructors evaluate the semester and students retain knowledge. Facilitator: Dana Karraker, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.
ReggieNet Gradebook Clinic
Monday, November 30 • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Get a brief review of the ReggieNet Gradebook in this one-hour workshop. Hands-on lab time will follow the review, so you can set up your Gradebook for the semester.
ReggieNet: Migrating Content from Modules to Lesson Builder
Wednesday, December 2 • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This workshop will teach you the basics of the Lesson Builder tool in ReggieNet, which will replace the Modules tool for classes starting in spring 2016. Learn how to copy content from the Modules tool over to the Lesson Builder tool. Discover how to design lessons that require students to complete prerequisites before they can proceed to the next stage. It is easy to integrate multimedia content with this tool.
