Artist in residence Liliya Lifanova will give a lecture at the University Galleries as part of the Visiting Artist Program. The event will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the University Galleries in Uptown Circle. The event is free and open to the public.
Lifanova is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses performance, painting, drawing, and sculpture. She received a master’s in fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is a Fulbright Scholarship recipient. Lifanova has been an artist-in-residence at Gridchinhall Artist Residency, Moscow, Russia; Triangle Arts Association, New York; and more recently at Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha, Nebraska and Artist’s Alliance, New York.
