Illinois State senior Parimal Vyas is this month’s Dean of Students Office student spotlight.

On top of being an actuarial science major, Vyas is very active in the Dean of Students Office. Throughout his time at Illinois State, he has been involved with Fraternity and Sorority Life, Leadership and Community Connections, and Off-Campus Services.

Initially, Vyas heard about the opportunities the Dean of Students Office had to offer through ACACIA, the fraternity that he is involved in. When asked what inspired him to get involved, Vyas says “I believe you should always give back to the community because this community has molded me into the person that I am today.”

Vyas’ fraternity brothers have kept him motivated to stay on top of his academics and continue his involvement in the Dean of Students Office. He also believes his experience with the Dean of Students Office has enhanced his priority and time management skills.

Find out how the Dean of Students Office can help you develop skills and build relationships that will enhance your collegiate journey.

Thank you, Parimal, for your leadership!
