Alumni are encouraged to take advantage of the wide range of support services offered by the Illinois State University Career Center. Career Center professional staff have the capabilities to connect remotely for all aspects of alumni job/career change, job search, employer networking and career development.
The ISU Career Center also has a long-standing history of building and managing close relationships with Fortune 500, government, education, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations who partner with Illinois State in search of experienced professionals. “Our employer partners recognize the value of experienced Illinois State alumni to compliment their talent management recruiting needs,” said Dave Ruzkowski, coordinator of Employee Relations and Development. “They often leverage their recruiting strategies by taking advantage of job fair networking with alumni.”
“Alumni who effectively network at our career fairs may just be on to one of the best kept career management secrets,” explains Ruszkowski. “During these tough economic times, organizations will be selective, and experience can often make all the difference. Even though current hiring may be tight, top-notch recruiting organizations want to maintain their organizational brand, candidate networks and recruiting presence at Illinois State and will be sure to attend the spring career fairs.”
Illinois State alumni are encouraged to attend the 2009 Spring Job Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and/or the 2009 Mid-America Educators’ Spring Job Fair on Wednesday, March 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both fairs will be held in the Bone Student Center.
