The Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association (ISUBCA) invites alumni to attend its annual meeting on Saturday, December 10. The annual meeting is a time to come together in person to recap the past year and discuss ISUBCA’s plans for the upcoming year. Pat Vickerman, vice president for University Advancement and Levester “LJ” Johnson, vice president for Student Affairs will also be in attendance to provide campus updates.
Alumni participation is vital to the growth and direction of the association.
“ISUBCA’s primary purpose is to support the black students, faculty and staff at Illinois State,” said Karyn Aguirre ’86, ISUBCA president. “We need each and every black alum to not only make a contribution but become involved and engaged in ISUBCA’s purpose to sustain and support the black voice at ISU.”
ISUBCA encourages alumni to make their annual tax-deductible gift of $50 or more to ISUBCA before the meeting. This gift provides support to Black Colleagues Association scholarships and operations. Contributing members will have the right to full participation in the association through invitations to monthly board meetings and the ability to vote in decision-making processes along with other benefits.
