The Illinois State University Geography of Chicago course taught by Associate Professor John Kostelnick will be in Chicago over spring break (March 13-17) for a class field trip.
The field trip provides a unique opportunity for students to observe and study the geography of the city firsthand. During the week, the class will visit ethnic neighborhoods, museums, parks, transportation centers, and other sites of interest. Students will learn about the city’s rich history, diversity, and challenges through meetings with local residents and experts.
The class will also conduct field work during the week for a research project that is exploring the topic of nature, green spaces, and urban agriculture in the city.
