Food, gifts, cultural artifacts and entertainment from around the world will be the highlights of Illinois State University’s 41st annual International Fair, Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. Admission to the event is $5 for adults, $3 for students in grades 6-12 and free for college students and children up to 5th grade.
Country and region-specific displays and booths, hosted by student groups and community organizations, will feature clothing, artwork and cultural artifacts from countries across the globe. Other booths will feature information on cultural education and exchange programs and world health and humanitarian issues. Traditional music, dance and storytelling will be part of the live entertainment on stage throughout the day. Visitors will also be able to purchase and sample a wide variety of ethnic foods prepared by international students and local restaurants.
The International Fair is presented by United International Association, a registered student organization that helps to coordinate other country and region-specific student organizations at Illinois State.
