Showing Redbird pride by donning Illinois State red every Friday is one of the University’s newest traditions.

The idea was introduced in the early 2000s by the Redbird Pride Committee, a group of campus staff and faculty and Bloomington-Normal community leaders. The idea continues be adopted by more of the campus and local community each year.

Civil service employees are vital to the success of the University, and are encouraged to show their school spirit as the Traditions campaign picks up steam at Illinois State.
