The Career Center is pleased to host its first ever Management Trainee Fair on Wednesday, November 5, to connect employers with students from all majors seeking employment in management or acceptance into a management training program. The event will be held from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center.
For Kayla Kniep, coming to Illinois State without a major was stressful. But the undeclared student took advantage of several different resources at Illinois State to eventually find a major that fit.

The Career Center is pleased to host the Nursing and Health Professionals Fair on Tuesday, October 28, to connect hiring employers with students who are majoring in nursing, kinesiology, social work, and other health related fields and are looking for full-time jobs or externships/internships. The event will be held from 12:30–3 p.m.in the Bone Student Center.
The Career Center will host sessions during the fall 2014 semester to educate students on how to use social media competitively to land a job.
The Career Center will host its “Are You LinkedIn?” workshop three times this fall. Participants are required to bring their own laptop, iPad, or other electronic device.
Students will learn the benefits of internships from fellow Redbirds with previous internship experience at the Career Center’s program, Student Panel on Internships, on September 15.
The Career Center, in conjunction with the Department of Technology, is hosting the Construction Management Fair on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Employers from the fields of construction management, safety, and renewable energy will meet with Illinois State students and alumni to discuss job opportunities.
The Illinois State University Career Center is hosting the Fall Internship Fair for students on Wednesday, September 17, from 4-7 p.m., in the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center.
