ISU starts teacher education in computer science program
Technology Professor Anu Gokhale and Philosophy Professor Emeritus Kenton Machina are starting a program in teacher education in computer science (TECS) with the help of the National Science Foundation, which will provide $700,000 over three years for the new project.
Illinois State advances in U.S. News and World Report rankings
Illinois State University remained in the top 200 schools in the nation, and moved up in the ranking for public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report. Among public universities, Illinois State jumped to 81st in the nation, up from 83rd last year.
Washington Monthly names Illinois State top value
Illinois State University has been ranked among the top 50 universities in the country in Washington Monthly’s 2013 Best Bang for the Buck rankings. It is one of only two Illinois public universities to be included in the top 50.
