The Illinois State University Planetarium is pleased to offer “Phantom of the Universe,” running weekends March 22 through May 11, 2024. Show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Illinois State University Board of Trustees names Aondover Tarhule as 21st president, approves four-year contract
The Illinois State University Board of Trustees named Dr. Aondover Tarhule as the University’s 21st president on March 18, 2024. Trustees also approved a four-year contract for Tarhule that will expire March 17, 2028.
Foxtail Film Festival to welcome Danielle Beverly, independent filmmaker of Qatar Stars
Danielle Beverly spent four years behind a camera in Qatar. Surrounded by young girls in a rhythmic gymnastics school in Doha, Beverly captured on film not just their growth, determination, and athletic prowess, but the evolving gendered world around them. She will join the 2024 Foxtail Film Festival.
Illinois State Tennis Club making Redbird history and heading to nationals
For the first time in Illinois State University history, the Tennis Club team is heading to Rome, Georgia to compete in the USTA Tennis On Campus (TOC) National Championship from April 4-6, 2024.
They have set a goal to raise $5,000 in support to help cover the team’s travel costs.
Reaccreditation process update, Spring 2024
Illinois State University’s Accreditation Steering Committee and work team members continue through the process toward the University’s reaccreditation through the Higher Learning Commission, with several important events coming up this spring.
